Adrien Alberini is an Associate Professor in Economic Public Law at the Faculty of Law at the University of Geneva. He holds a Ph.D. from the same faculty. His dissertation, which included a research stay at the Max Planck Institute for Intellectual Property, Competition, and Tax Law in Munich, focused on the assessment of technology transfer agreements in European competition law (Walther Hug, Bellot, and Aubert prizes). Adrien Alberini also holds an LL.M. in Law, Science & Technology from Stanford Law School (with honors). Alongside his academic activities, Adrien Alberini is a lawyer admitted to the Geneva Bar and serves as Of Counsel at Walder Wyss.

As part of his activities at the Digital Law Center, Adrien Alberini focuses on structuring IT projects (including IT contracts), particularly in public and regulated sectors, with an interest in themes such as the use of AI systems by public authorities, the establishment of frameworks by the state to promote digitalization projects, and issues related to digital sovereignty.

For instance, his recent contributions have addressed topics such as how competition law has supported the development of digital technologies, negotiating IT outsourcing contracts, and implementing AI projects within banks.
