Présentation
Following the success of the Luxury Digital Law Series in Autumn 2020, the Digital Law Center will organize the First Luxury Digital Law Day on 11 June 2021 as part of its initiative focusing on the luxury industry.
The First Luxury Digital Law Day will focus on issues related to "Technology and Sustainability in the Luxury Industry", in particular on the role of blockchain and artificial intelligence, in facilitating efficiency and transparency in the industry and sustainability-related initiatives. In addition, the event will focus on the intersection between business initiatives and digital marketing, and their role in promoting sustainability. High-profile speakers from legal practice, industry, and academia will address business and legal issues in an interactive format.
The Luxury Digital Law initiative is designed for professionals (not limited to the legal community) who are interested in issues related to the production, distribution, marketing, and protection of luxury products and the opportunities and challenges that arise in the digital world. The initiative aims at creating a forum to discuss these issues at the University of Geneva, an institution that has long collaborated with the luxury industry, and is organized in collaboration with the Continuing Legal Education Programs.
The "Luxury Digital Law Day" will take place online via Zoom.
